PIERCE TEEN BLOOD DRIVE CHALLENGE

Did you know, that with parental consent, you are allowed to donate blood once you turn 16 or 17?
Only 5 US states (Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, New Mexico and Wyoming) make you wait until age 17. To increase awareness with teenagers and young adults about this privilege, and to inspire people from all walks of life and ages to give back in this easy and impactful way, I am encouraging nationwide participation in the PIERCE TEEN BLOOD DRIVE CHALLENGE.
Donating blood is easy and safe, and essential to maintaining the health of ALL our communities.
Check your state eligibility to make sure you’re able to donate, and ensure that your parents or guardians will complete this consent form.
Are you eligible?
THEN, MAKE THE APPOINTMENT AND START THE CHALLENGE.
Bring a friend for moral support or to donate with you — the PIERCE TEEN BLOOD DRIVE CHALLENGE is all about making an impact together and having fun while doing it. Take a selfie with your friends during your donation and document the day! Get creative with those selfies... Are you in the donor chair? Just your eyes? Your big smile? The arm you used to donate? Your feet? Holding a sign? Help us inspire others...
Once you’ve finished donating, post your selfie using the hashtag #onearmatatime so we can thank you. Tell us WHY you took the PIERCE TEEN BLOOD DRIVE CHALLENGE. And, don’t forget to tag 10 or so friends or family members all around the country whom you want to take on the challenge next!
MAKE A PLAN TO DONATE AND STICK TO IT!
